Under the 'Dharmaveer Anand Dighe Saheb Maharashtra Auto-rickshaw and Metered Taxi Drivers' Welfare Board, Mumbai', auto-rickshaw and metered taxi drivers can become registered members and avail the benefits of the welfare schemes being implemented by the Government of Maharashtra.
Financial assistance and recognition for registered drivers aged 65 years and above.
Insurance protection against accidental death and permanent disability while on duty.
Healthcare and medical assistance for eligible registered drivers.
Training programmes to improve professional skills, road safety awareness and digital literacy.
Financial assistance to registered drivers injured while performing their duties.
Educational scholarships for the children of registered auto-rickshaw and metered taxi drivers.
In order to promote and propagate the Marathi language more effectively across the State and to enable passenger vehicle drivers to use Marathi in their day-to-day interactions with the general public, the Transport Department has decided to conduct "Practical Marathi Language" training classes for non-Marathi drivers. This initiative is being jointly implemented by the State Marathi Development Institute, Konkan Marathi Sahitya Parishad, Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangh, and the Transport Department.

In accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) has been constituted in this office to address and resolve the grievances and complaints of women employees.
The Committee conducts meetings from time to time to review and address complaints. It also considers and resolves complaints, if any, received from women visitors or members of the public in connection with official work. Necessary action is taken in accordance with the provisions of the Act and applicable government regulations.
